I’ve got a sinking feeling that the initial pragmatism of Rails is very close to expanding into a Utopian vision, which of course, is useless.
The core concept that attracted me to Rails was that I could make things happen that I’d always thought should be simple. And that is true. However, as with many developing concepts the philosophy sits in the core endeveavourand doesn’t carry through to the entire expeience.
What I mean to say is that several of the presentations are simply unnecessarily boring and uninformative.
